University of Alberta joins Opening the Future at both CEU Press and Liverpool University Press

The Library at University of Alberta recently became a subscriber member of CEU Press and Liverpool University Press’s OA monograph funding programmes.

Alberta has chosen to subscribe to four packages of backlist eBooks across both presses, enhancing the Library’s digital collection with a wide cross-section of titles. With this membership subscription, staff and students at Alberta now have access to 37 books from the LUP monograph series Contemporary Hispanic and Lusophone Cultures, and Liverpool Latin American Studies, and also access to 150 CEU Press books on the politics, economics, culture and history of Central and Eastern Europe. All eBooks in the packages are DRM-free, with concurrent/multi-user access, and after 3 years of membership the Library will retain access to all of them in perpetuity.

Both CEU Press and Liverpool University Press will use the subscription fees to fund new frontlist open access books, which are made freely available globally.
