Liverpool University Press (LUP) is delighted to announce that the University of Liverpool’s own library is the latest to subscribe to our Opening the Future collective funding programme.

The University was founded in 1881 and now boasts 400+ Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses with over 22,000 students on campus. Staff and students at Liverpool will now get unlimited, perpetual access to 37 eBooks on hispanic cultural and language studies, including history, literature, social anthropology, politics, and international relations.

In return, LUP will use the subscription fees to fund new open access books, which will  be made freely available, globally. The subscription model is extremely cost-effective for libraries.

A spokesperson from the University said “The University of Liverpool is delighted to support this initiative. We are enhancing our library collections and leading the way as early adopters of Opening the Future, helping in turn to disseminate accessible scholarship with a global reach.”

If you would like to see how your library might similarly increase your collection of eBooks by becoming a member of Opening the Future, you can read more about the programme and benefits on LUP’s OtF website: https://lup.openingthefuture.net/
